After-School Program

After the bell, the mat

A structured place for kids to land after school, with martial arts at the center of the afternoon.

What it is

Structure, with a kick in it

Kids need somewhere to go when the school day ends. Ours spend the afternoon learning martial arts in a fun, social setting, built around the core tenets of respect, discipline and perseverance.

Instruction is age-appropriate, so the youngest and the oldest each get work that fits them.

The after school program and Taekwondo instruction are fantastic. The focus on teaching kids discipline and structure, while having a great time is a perfect balance.

Four things they take home

Respect

Everyone here learns to respect and be respected, and kids take that home.

Focus

Discipline, persistence and focus, the same habits that help with hard tasks at school.

Fitness

Real martial arts instruction, so they move, sweat and get stronger.

Friends

Kids come from multiple schools and make friends they would never have met otherwise.

Parents ask

Questions parents ask

How is it different from other after-school options?

It is structured, and it is martial arts. Kids learn in a fun and social setting, and the afternoon is built on values like respect, self-control and discipline.

Will my child get a workout?

Yes. Martial arts instruction is part of the program, so kids get physical, build strength and learn why fitness matters.

My child is shy. Will they make friends?

Kids come from several schools, so everyone is meeting someone new, and they often end up friends with kids they never would have met otherwise.

Can it help with school?

The values we teach include discipline, persistence and focus. Kids who find school hard often need help learning to focus and to stick with a difficult task, and that is exactly what martial arts practices.

When does it run?

On weekday afternoons. Call us for current days, times and openings.
