Ages8to13
Kids Taekwondo
Every belt is earned
Discipline, focus, respect and real self-defense for ages 8 to 13, taught by a team that knows every student by name.
Individual challenge
Challenged their own way
Ron and his instructors match the work to the child. A student who needs confidence gets wins to build on. A student who is ready for more gets pushed.
He really challenges children in their own individual way. He understands their weaknesses or struggles and works hard and helping them.
He knows when they are working hard and gives rewards for excellent work.

What they build
Four things, every class
Discipline
“Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing.” John C. Maxwell, in a line the school shares.
Respect
For the room, the instructor and each other. One mother saw it within a month: “confidence, respect for himself and others and independence.” Marie R., parent.
Defense
Kicks, strikes, stances and footwork, with sparring classes for students who are ready, in head and body protection.
Leading
“She has gain so much confidence in being a leader and in her skills.” Toshiba W., parent.

Belts and promotion
Belts mean something here
Progress at Powerspeed is visible. Students test for their next belt at promotion tests through the year, and every student who promotes takes home a certificate.
After witnessing a well trained brown belt during a belt promotion test, I have full confidence in Powerspeeds ability in helping my son improve his taekwondo skills.

Stronger together
Helping each other
Helping each other is not just a gesture, it's a powerful tool to overcome any obstacle.
The school also holds special events for kids and their families, and students have performed a demo for the neighborhood at the Riverdale Block Party.

Power and speed, as promised
He loves the way he's challenged, the improvements he's made in his confidence, conditioning, power and speed.
I can see the difference in my son after just a month.
Both of my children are autistic and struggle following direction and learning new things in general. But Ronald keeps them motivated.
